Thanks so much for submitting this, Carrie, and Christy for posting. I think Carrie is right on target here. I see this happening to my clients with type-2 diabetes, and I think you're right about the dose increased being pushed because healthcare providers are chasing the ideal weight when it may not be the goal of the patient, and chasing the ideal weight may induce more harm. It's indeed a troubling trend. Would love to brain storm some ways to empower folks to fight back.

Shout out for Carrie for sharing her story. I talk about this all of the time with my accountability coaching clients as it was pertinent in corporate - when you optimize for one metric only, bad things tend to happen. Providers owe patients better.

Patients deserve better. Women deserve better with all of the shit they are being peddled on social and elsewhere. I received a snail mail advert yesterday targeting me that I need to try their weight loss supplements. Like GFY!
