Is Restrictive Eating Raising Your Cholesterol?

Is Restrictive Eating Raising Your Cholesterol?

This post is from my previous newsletter, Food Psych Weekly.

This week’s question is from a reader named named rsweet81, who writes:

Thanks so much for your podcast. My eating habits have been inarguably unhealthy for as long as I can remember. My relationship with food has been disordered since I was about 13. I’m nearly 29 now with two young kids, a boy and a girl. I’m still confused about what I should be eating, and I end up eating too much at irregular times, often junk. My confusion about how I should be eating is compounded by diet culture and being a picky eater and vegetarian. Last year, despite appearing quite fit and healthy, I learned that my cholesterol is high. How can I improve my relationship with food while getting my cholesterol on track? I don’t know what messages to listen to.
