Just the Links: Girls' Body Image, Lead in Protein Powder, RFK Jr. Losing Public Trust, and More
Plus: "Ultraprocessed" food ban, and: are people still scared of bread?

Welcome to another installment of the Rethinking Wellness link roundup! Twice a month I share a small selection of links from around the internet that are relevant to the conversations we have here, and usually I also offer some quick takes and occasional deeper dives for paid subscribers.
This week there are no proper takes/dives because I’m deep in my preparations for maternity leave, working to get a bunch of new pieces written and recorded for 2026. Instead, I’m including a few bonus links for paid subscribers, with some very brief comments (and a request for yours).
Links
Here are some pieces that got me thinking in the past few weeks. I found value in all of these, but links are not endorsements of every single detail in the piece or everything the writer ever wrote.

Lead in protein powders. What you need to know (Katelyn Jetelina and Hannah Totte, MPH)
With Kennedy, the chaos is the point (Jessica Grose / NYT)
